Britney Spears was released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center this morning and is currently at her Beverly Hills home with her father, Jamie.
"Britney and her people left already," a hospital insider said. The news was first reported by Entertainment Tonight. ET reports the pop star, 26, left the hospital via underground tunnel with Dr. Phil because, "there was no reason to hold her longer." "Now Britney is under the supervision of her family again," a source close to Spears says. After spending an hour with the popstar this morning, Dr. Phil said, "My meeting with Britney and some family members this morning in her room at Cedars leaves me convinced more than ever that she is in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention," he said in a statement to Entertainment Tonight and The Insider. "She was released moments before my arrival and was packing when I entered the room," the doctor adds. "We visited for about an hour before I walked with her to her car. I am very concerned for her." Hours after being released from the hospital, Britney Spears was back behind the wheel. The 26-year-old drove her white Mercedes convertible to the end of her gated community — but made a U-turn home after seeing all the paparazzi.
