In 2009, Billboard named Spears as one of the best selling acts of the 2000s, solely based on album sales as well as the 8th overall best act of the decade based on album sales, chart success, and cultural relativity. In the United States, Spears is the best selling female artist of the 2000s, as well as the fifth overall.

Spears endorsed her first Elizabeth Arden fragrance "Curious" in September, 2004, which had $100 million in sales in the five weeks after its 2004 release and it broke licenser Elizabeth Arden's record for first-week gross for a perfume and went on to become the number-one fragrance in department stores on 2004. In September 2005, Spears released the fragrance "Fantasy" with Elizabeth Arden, which also saw great success. These were followed by the release of two more fragrances of "Curious:In Control" and "Midnight Fantasy" in 2006. Her next Elizabeth Arden fragrance, "Believe", was released in September 2007. In January, 2008, Spears released "Curious Heart". Spears released a new fragrance entitled "Hidden Fantasy" in January 2009.[162] On March 22, 2009, it was announced that Spears has the #1 selling celebrity fragrance, making up 34% of sales.

Britney Spears is featured as the model for Candie's spring 2010 ads, with famed photographers Annie Leibovitz, Mark Seliger and Terry Richardson doing the honors.The campaign's name: "Britney Spears Through the Lens." Deep."Annie, Mark and Terry are three of the biggest photographers in the world and I am honored to be working with them for my Candie’s ads," Spears said in a statement."It was an amazing shoot, and I know my fans are going to love the cool images." We're sure they are too, as they eat, drink and breathe all things Britney.

Britney Spears-Baby One More Time
Britney Jean Spears is an American recording artist and entertainer. Born in McComb, Mississippi and raised in Kentwood, Louisiana, Spears first appeared on national television in 1992 as a contestant on the Star Search program, and went on to star in Disney Channel's television series The New Mickey Mouse Club from 1993 to 1994. After a brief membership with the pop musical group Innosense, Spears signed a recording contract with Jive, releasing her debut album ...Baby One More Time in 1999. The album established her as a pop icon and "bona fide pop phenomenon", credited for influencing the revival of teen pop in the late 1990s.

What a way to ring in the new year with Ms. Britney Spears on the cover of Glamour's January issue!
What '08 has been like: “This whole year has been a hell of a year for me. I have been working so hard on my album, but…I didn’t know exactly where I stood with everyone.”
On mom Lynne: “We butt heads the most, but we understand each other the most, too.”
Brit's New Year's resolution: “I would like to stop worrying so much, because I worry all the time. And to learn how to be happier, just in general.”
What we may not know: “I don’t like going out. I hate clubs. I hate being around too many people. I love my home and staying in bed and watching Dancing With the Stars or reading a Danielle Steel novel.”
Five years from now: “In five years I would like to be married and have a father figure for my kids, someone who is a provider and can be really stable. It’s hard doing it on your own. ”

Britney Joins Madonna
At Dodger Stadium last night in L.A., Britney Spears was reunited with Madonna (and Justin Timberlake, yes, the two did cross paths!) for her Sticky and Sweet tour. Greeting her with a kiss on the hand and a "Hi Britney," Madonna was joined onstage by Spears during her song "Human Nature." Spears looked great in black and white as she sang the last chorus of the song. And as for the reunion with Timblerlake, the two said a simple "hi" to each other.

Britney Spears: Hard at Work on New Album
It seems that Britney Spears’ summer is going to be filled with more than rest and relaxation… as her manager, Larry Rudolph, made a big career announcement on Tuesday - telling that the “Gimme More” pop star is hard at work on her yet-to-be-titled new album.
“Britney Spears is spending her summer in the recording studio, working on a brand new album,” Rudolph announced in a statement released by Jive Records. “She’s working with a team of top-notch producers and songwriters, and we’re very excited about what she’s accomplished so far. No album release date has been confirmed yet.”

Britney's Time Off
Brit has been MIA from the L.A. scene for the past week while she's been vacationing with her dad Jamie, Mel Gibson and his wife in Costa Rica.She's been spending a lot of time on the beach with a little fun in the sun, water activities and smiles all around!

April Showers Bring May Flowers: A Weekend In Review
Cate Blanchett welcomed her third son, Ignatius Martin, born Sunday.
Britney Spears was involved in a minor fender bender Saturday night on a L.A. freeway. No one was hurt.
Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) gave birth to a little girl, Zoie, Saturday.
Lindsay Lohan is still partying, seen throughout the weekend at hot spots around L.A. with good friend DJ Samantha Ronson.
Heidi Montag launches Heidiwood down the runway Friday. Spencer even presented her with two dozen pink roses! And they're still not living together.
Nina Garcia is no longer with Elle magazine, which may mean she's out at Project Runway. Oh no!
Still no wedding confirmation from newlyweds Beyonce and Jay-Z, hiding her ring finger from the public at a Houston Rockets game Friday night.

Britney's TV Gig
First slightly-secretive weekend meetings with Mel Gibson and now an acting gig over at CBS.Britney has been very busy lately, but in a good way I suppose.
PEOPLE has just released the first video promo of Brit in action where she plays a receptionist at a dermatologist's office in the sitcom How I Met Your Mother. Shown opposite Neil Patrick Harris in the clip, her first words are, well why don't you just see for yourself...

Britney Spears is a Hit with Little Dancers
If her pop music career ever goes up in flames (or has it?) Britney Spears may have a blossoming career as a kid’s dance instructor.
She’s been spending tons of time at Millennium Dance Studios in West Hollywood, and when she’s not working out herself, she’s been helping to teach the children that come there for lessons.
